Black Sabbath
Release Date: May 31, 2024 – Pre-Order Today
Rhino delves into the rich era of heavy metal’s pioneers with a new compilation, ANNO DOMINI 1989-1995, resurrecting four albums that have been out of circulation for a while.
Set for release on May 10 in both 4-LP and 4-CD formats, this collection features freshly remastered versions of Headless Cross (1989), Tyr (1990), and Cross Purposes (1994), along with a specially remixed edition of Forbidden (1995) by guitarist Tony Iommi.
The LP version of ANNO DOMINI introduces several albums to vinyl for the first time, while the CD edition includes three bonus tracks exclusively: “Cloak & Dagger” (B-side), “Whatโs The Use,” and “Loser Gets It All,” previously only available in Japan.
Accompanying the set is a booklet containing photographs, artwork, and liner notes by Hugh Gilmour, along with a Headless Cross poster and a replica concert book from the “Headless Cross Tour.”
ANNO DOMINI picks up the Black Sabbath saga in 1989, showcasing a band that had evolved over two decades and numerous lineup changes, with Tony Iommi, Cozy Powell, Tony Martin, and Geoff Nicholls leading the charge.
