Idlewild South (1970) incorporates two of the band’s best-known songs, “Midnight Rider” (later coated by Joe Cocker, Bob Seger, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson, amongst others) and “In Reminiscence of Elizabeth Reed”, which might develop into one of many band’s well-known live performance numbers.
