A local of Swift Present, Saskatchewan Canada, Colter Wall’s sound is comprised of resonate and uncooked baritone vocals, people and bluegrass fashion guitar and banjo selecting, regular kick-drum stomping, and visually frightening, story telling lyrics. Since debuting in 2015 with the discharge of his Jason Plumb-produced EP, Imaginary Appalachia, Wall has acquired overwhelming acclaim – Steve Earle declares, “Colter Wall is bar-none one of the best younger singer-songwriter I’ve seen in twenty years,” whereas Rick Rubin, who signed Wall to his American Songs publishing firm, proclaims, “Colter sings and writes songs in methods seemingly misplaced in time. There may be an agelessness about him so uncommon in somebody so younger.” The standout Imaginary Appalachia observe “Sleeping On The Backtop,” was featured on the soundtrack of the Oscar-nominated movie, Hell or Excessive Water.
