The “Loser Edition” of Light Verse will be available on clear vinyl with blue swirls. Set to release on April 26th, it’s Iron & Wine’s seventh full-length album and fifth with Sub Pop Records.
Designed to be listened to as a complete work, the album was recorded primarily at Dave Way’s Waystation studio in Laurel Canyon, with an additional session at Silent Zoo Studio featuring a 24-piece orchestra.
Engineer and mixer Dave Way oversaw the recording process. Collaborators on the album include Fiona Apple, who joined Sam Beam on vocals for the duet “All In Good Time.”
