Live at Fillmore East, 1969 captures an iconic performance from David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young during their first tour as CSNY.
Fresh off their legendary second-ever show at Woodstock in August 1969, the band spent the remainder of the year touring and crafting songs for their 1970 debut, Dรฉjร Vu.
This newly unearthed multi-track recording from September 20, 1969, at New York City’s historic Fillmore East showcases both acoustic and electric sets, highlighting soon-to-be classics like “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Helplessly Hoping,” and “Down By The River.”*
The concert features tracks from CSN’s self-titled debut and Young’s Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, offering a glimpse into the early chemistry of the supergroup.
Stephen Stills and Neil Young personally compiled and mixed the original eight-track recordings at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, preserving the analog warmth of the performance.
The album has been produced with the highest audio fidelity, cut directly to AAA lacquer for its vinyl release.
As Young noted, โWe mixed at Sunset Sound using the analog echo chamber โ no digital processing. This is pure, all-analog sound.โ
