Tony Bennett and Diana Krall have a good time their shared love of the music of George and Ira Gershwin on their new collaborative album, LOVE IS HERE TO STAY, set for a September 14th launch.
LOVE IS HERE TO STAY is a refined, subtle and superbly rendered love letter to The Gershwins’ music and their standing as one of many premiere songwriters of the American common customary. It’s a masterclass in vocal supply and phrasing and the command that Bennett and Krall show of the fabric in each their duets and solo tracks makes it seem easy, belying the honed ability of the vocalists. The duet tracks embody “S’Great,” “I’ve Bought Rhythm,” “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” and “Fascinating Rhythm,” amongst
them. “Fascinating Rhythm” was Tony Bennett’s first bodily recordingin 1949, made below his then stage identify, Joe Bari, which he revisits as a duet with Krall for this undertaking
