Pearl Jam
Ten is the debut studio album by Pearl Jam, launched on August 27, 1991 by way of Epic Data.
Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard’s earlier group Mom Love Bone, the 2 recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to type Pearl Jam in 1990.
A lot of the songs started as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about subjects akin to despair, homelessness, and abuse.
Ten was not a right away success, however by late 1992 it had reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album produced three hit singles: “Alive”, “Even Circulate”, and “Jeremy”.
