There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by the Foo Fighters, launched November 2, 1999. The album marks the primary look of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is usually seen as a departure from the band’s earlier work, showcasing a softer, extra experimental sound. In a 2006 interview, Dave Grohl states that the album is “completely primarily based on melody” and that it “is perhaps his favourite album that they’ve ever executed.” There Is Nothing Left to Lose received the Grammy Award for Finest Rock Album in 2001, marking the group’s first ever Grammy Award. The band would go on to win the Grammy for Finest Rock Album for 3 of their subsequent 4 studio releases (One By One, Echoes, Silence, Endurance & Grace, and Losing Mild).
